  1. Instead of hacking your Finder, use Anti-Finder 1.0.1.  Anti-Finder is a
  2. teeny-weeny application that causes the Finder to quit when you run it, and
  3. restarts the Finder when you quit it. Possible uses for this are few, but
  4. include freeing up a few hundred K of memory, temporarily removing the
  5. "feature" that clicking on the desktop brings the Finder forward,
  6. child-proofing a Mac, keeping that favorite lab machine "broken" so you can
  7. use it, etc. This version maneuvers around a bug in the System that causes
  8. a crash when no applications are running.

  11. It is also quite small, so you can fit over 450 copies on a single high
  12. density floppy...

  14. Contrary to popular belief, launching the Finder with some other utility
  15. while Anti-Finder is running will _NOT_ cause your Mac to disappear.
